Who is the Better Singer - Jim or Joe?

In my opinion, it is Joe Anderson (Max) - he has a very nice clarity to his voice and hits his notes dead on, while Jim feels like he is glissing and sliding into a lot of his lyrics...maybe they are just singing at different registers or in different keys, but that's what my music-loving ears pick up

What are your thoughts?

OMG, it's Jim Sturgess -- by miles.

Sturgess just blew me away with his singing on "Something." As good or better than George Harrison, seriously.

Jim bye a million miles. It almost sounded like Joe needed lessons to get the role. He's more of an actor/dancer than he is a singer. He isn't bad by any means but Jim is a singer, no doubt about it. He has the stronger voice actually....it might not be as "rock sounding" as Joe's, but he has WAAAAAY more range. And I am singer, since I was 7. I would def know , trust me :) Joe is a decent singer, but Jim is THE singer between the two. I think Joe got the role for his amazing skills as an overall performer and was perfect for Max. Not because he's the greatest singer. Jim got the role because he was the leading man and they needed an excellent singer for the role of Jude. They wouldn't have cast only a decent singer for Jude.
