I wouldn't change a thing

Couldn’t agree more! Absolutely amazing film and it would not have been the same with any other director at the helm. Love this film.
shareI agree! 10/10!
shareIn total agreement I am. This film is easily one of Fincher’s greatest (arguably his most underrated). In fact, it’s one of his few films that took me only a single viewing for me to declare it a masterwork. Top-tier direction, captivating performances, chilling atmosphere, and just great on every level.
shareAgreed. It's a great film, and while it's usually regarded only as a true crime movie, I also hold it up as a great journalism movie, along with films like The Insider, Spotlight and Shattered Glass.
It's definitely an underrated film in Fincher's ouvre, judging solely on the grounds that it seems to be rarely talked about in comparison to some of his other movies.
A 7.7 on IMDB, can you believe it?
shareTbh it’s a fairly average movie. The Fincher fanboys will claim it as a masterpiece, but the movie has terrible acting and a plot that quickly loses momentum the further it goes along. It even has the audacity to include a montage sequence. All it does is smugly point the finger towards a man who was exonerated anyway. 6/10 at best. The movie’s only saving graces were Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr.
An actual good film about journalism would be All the President’s Men.
