When he gets invited to do a performance at court he says "maybe ill make you disappear then" and she recognizes him. Its pretty obvious from then on thats exactly whats going to happen.

I suspected something like it, but I thought her whole death's inconsistencies was simply *beep* writing. What I didn't expect was for the prince to be completely innocent.
