So I just finished watching the series for the first time and I have to say I hated Nancy. At first I was hoping she would grow on me and the more the show continued, the more my dislike for her grew and I was finding her to be so untollerable. Anyone else feel the same way?
I loved everyone else (except for Celia couldn't stand her either lol), Andy and Shane being my favorites, just couldn't get past her know-it-all slutty attitude.
You obviously have problems with strong females who are confident in themselves and their sexuality. Grow up.
shareI liked her up until she took the money from Peter's son and was playing head games with the first wife. After that I had no sympathy for her. The doe-eyed, drink-sucking "do this because I said so" thing got old quickly. I was actually rooting against her.
shareIt's the same format as other shows like this , Sopranos , The Shield , Orange New Black etc. By the end you hate the main character because the story revolves around their crazy lives. If the show is good you will end up loving the side characters and main reason to repeat watch.
They could have gone two ways with the show with keeping the same storyline with minor changes. 1. current story
2. Or trying to spin it more so u feel sorry for Nacey. I'm Glad they didn't do this i would think the show would have more of a sad feel rather then light/funnier side. The Coldness of Nacey allows the story to move alittle faster and better/funnier reactions of the side characters.
Andy and Doug Are 2 of my favorite characters from any show, all time.
She also stole Shanes student loan money. I disliked her from the beginning but loved pretty much everyone else.

Nancy was a pretty terrible character. I think it was weird that they wrote her character without really describing where her crazy tendencies came from. Her decisions are completely random. I also would have liked to have learned where she came from and her backstory closer to the beginning of the show. We don't find out a lot about her past until Season 6, which is way too late in the series, in my opinion. I also think there should have been a story on how she met Heylia and Conrad and therefore started dealing. Where on earth would she have met them?
