Willingly filming a slasher? Hmm...

So, this journalist Taylor and her film crew Todd and the guy who looks like a member of The Big Bang Theory are totally fine with filming a serial killer?? And, who the heck would be okay with watching that knowing that they knew it was going on and were encouraging it?? I've seen documentaries with killers after they've been arrested on 60 min. and such but that's after they've been punished. someone please enlighten me on this subject, is this just a witty play on generic horror themes or is it a major flub in this seemingly "stupidly- smart" spoof? I was thinking about this during the film in its entirity, which just made it all the less enjoyable. I know some viewers were answering this with the fact that they did step in like half way into the film.. Yeah, after two teens are brutally murdered in the next room?! I know, I know, leslie "knew" they would step in and "knew" that Taylor was his "survivor girl" the whole time and they were coming before he'd even laid eyes on them..BLAH BLAH BLAH. I just want to know why this was okay in the first place?! Please answer soon, please! And in advance, please excuse my usage of words and placement. Thank you. :)

There is a certain amount of willing suspension of disbelief required in this sort of movie. Sometimes it does strain credulity, but once you accept the basic premise, in this case a film crew deciding to film the planning and commission of a felony homicide, it is possible to just go with the flow, even though you see the unreality of the entire situation. Also, there is a certain amount of natural distancing that film crews feel from events that might possible lend a little credence to the events.

I can't figure out how you've managed to enjoy any of the fictitious films that you've rated highly, such as Toy Story. Do you really think toys come to life when you leave the room? Hmmmm...

Have you ever thought you could go through with something until it's time? Exaggerate such a scenario to the point where it becomes fun cinema and there you go! A film crew willing to film something that'll happen with or without their involvement chickening out when it does occur!

Sad story. You got a smoke?
