If you mean the political stuff, that has always been part of the show. Personally I don't think Chibnall can write it well, but it's not new.
If it's the timeless child stuff, I think RTD will want to do something fresh and probably new. Problem with doing things that call back right to the start is they aren't that good for new fans
I hope RTD retcons and gets rid of that Timeless Child crap, it left a sour taste in almost every TRUE fan's mouth. And if it didn't... well, they're not true fans.

As I have said time and time again - what annoys me is when people bring up politics as if Chibnall was the first to put them into the show. It's always been there, just bad writing and more of a focus has made it far more obvious.
The issue I personally have is the writing. Orphan 55 and climate change - could have been a great idea - Black Mirror is great for example at making interesting cautionary tales

I won’t be tuning in either . I only watched a handful of eps with JW. She wasn’t that terrible but I COULDN’T STAND ANY of the companions. I may tune in to see the first episode.

To me the doctor is someone who is against social injustice. Can't remember which, but a 3rd doctor episode had the doctor basically saying something like oh your one of those britian for the british, basically calling the person out as a racist.
