What do you think it'll be the next 'upgrade' for Doctor Whoke

In the last episode, somebody told Doctor Whoke 'I thought you were a man', so she answered 'I had an upgrade'

So, what could be the next 'upgrade'? Black? Hispanic? Lesbian? Muslim?

Place your bets 😁

Doctor Whoke is a great name for it.

I don't know how people are denying the socio-political direction this show has headed in. I'm not even an avid fan but tuned in to one random episode about a year ago and could instantly tell how woke it had become with so many boxes ticked. Lesbian? Tick. Black/ethnic minority main cast members? Tick. Increase in women characters. Tick. Not really surprising from a show produced by the BPC.

Has there been a female Dalek yet?

Yeap, wokeness is everywhere right now.

Yesterday I started to watch Moffat's Dracula, the new one from Netflix. First thing, they made Jonathan Harker a babbling idiot, it was almost embarrassing. Mina writing quite subtlety how she was hanging from every cock around and Harker reading the letter and laughing like a cuck. It was like, WTF!? Of course, every woman in the show was smart and self-confident. I know they have femwashed Van Helsing, and included 'diverse' characters, which I guess will be the only decent males around. I could bet and I'm sure I'd win. Mid episode, I stopped it.

Probably I'll watch the series, after all I like Hammer stories no matter how shitty they are (and this looks like shit). But it's like shows are competing to see which one humiliates more white males.

It'll be Jackie Chan so as to help them get more dollars out of China.

Have to remember back in 2017 they signed this:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/worldwide/2017/doctor-who-china

BBC Worldwide today announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with leading Chinese media company, Shanghai Media Group Pictures (SMG Pictures) that will see expansion of the Doctor Who brand in China. The agreement will see BBC Worldwide working with SMG Pictures to increase the Doctor Who fan base in China, exploring future opportunities as well as exchanging expertise between the two teams.

The deal not only covers Showrunners Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat’s Series 1- 10, but also incoming Showrunner Chris Chibnall’s yet-to-film Series 11, as well as a first look for Series 12-15.

This marks the start of a longer and even more fruitful partnership with SMGP,” said Jaclyn-Lee Joe, Chief Marketing Officer, BBC Worldwide. “Doctor Who already has a substantial fan base in China. Now, Chinese fans will be able to access the entire catalogue of Doctor Who and its spin-offs thanks to this agreement.

China is going through a time of tremendous growth and rapid market development. Everyone here is curious about popular cultures around the world. At the same time, they want to share their Chinese culture and values, said Chen Sijie, General Manager, SMG Pictures. Doctor Who, with its long television history and iconic place in popular culture, is a great representative of British pop culture. We hope that this partnership with BBC Worldwide will enable both parties, as well as Chinese and British fans to share and exchange ideas and learnings to grow the universe of Doctor Who in China.

So must be getting close to to China having more input.
