This movie was just awful. I thought that the leading character would be more sympathetic, but he was a jerk.
And the Christmas lights scene seemed to go on for hours.
If this is what modern "comedy" is going to be, we are in big trouble.

shareDisagree, just saw it; I thought it was funny! and the main characters had chemistry and all that cute stuff. I loved the brothers relationship, and Anna Faris was hilarious. I personally did find Chris (Ryan Reynolds) sympathetic, as he was bullied and rejected when younger, and thus became bitter and kind of a jerk, but gradually develops feelings for Jamie again, despite at first only wanting to prove he could get her. I also liked his sweet little private funny moments, like when he finds his snow globes and when he's with his brother. Overall I thought it was a goofy, funny, sweet little movie.

What the *beep* are you talking about? This movie is hilarious. Anna Faris is GREAT in this (Oscar-worthy, I dare say). The film just has a HUGE heart.
