I expected some decent acting in this film with Hugh Jackman but thought it was a joke! he was terrible along with the kid and supporting cast. The story it self was terrible! This could have been made into an OK movie with a bit more of a gritty story but how this got 7.2 i will never know! Wasted 2 good hours of my life!

I thought it was quite a heart warming film, nothing special mind, robot version of Rocky 4.

Could have been a much better movie had the writers/producers based it Richard Matheson's original story instead of just being "inspired" by it. The superfluous and overly-precocious kid became extremely annoying after a while. I think this adaptation would have made Matheson puke.

I was shocked how bad this was. The effects were tremendous, but I found this film to have little heart. Disappointing.

yes, what a pile of rubbish. I feel awful because I actually forced 3 more people to watch it with me. Only one hasn't got angry. He's fall asleep at the beginning of this crap.

I just gave it a 4 as well. Very predictable and i found no reason as to why anyone should waste 2 hours watching it. I certainly couldn't recommend it to anyone.

Yea Im watching it on Showtime right now, so suprised people actually liked this crap lol. I would give it like a 4/10 and it only gets a 4 because I expected it to be bad. Its so cliche and that kids screaming is so f'n annoying.

Agree...: awful!
Predictable and easy choices in the story-telling, predictable characters and very poor acting. We've seen better... :s

Looks like it did ok at the box office, rentals, so I'm sure someone is thinking of sequel.

This movie was made for children, not unproductive adults like the OP and to all the other fallows that think this movie was for adults, LOL!

Just because it's made for kids doesn't mean it has to feel like it was WRITTEN by kids. And wasn't this a FAMILY film? Meaning that the entire family's supposed to watch it?

No Transformers feels like its written by a 9 year old. This feels like it was written by adult who isn't the greatest writer in the world.

It was better then I thought it would be. I don't know about a 7.2 but it wasn't bad.

It wasn't terrible, but certainly not great. Borderline entertaining for me - solid CGI, decent acting, uncreative, predictable plot - 6/10
