its definitely a revamped story of stallone's Over The Top. I know movies take inspirations from here and there but the similarities are very close. except for the robot part cause this being our time than arm wrestling which worked in the 80s.. don't go by the summary. check out the movie and see for yourself.

It actually is a copy off of a Twilight Zone episode from season 5 called 'Steel'.

Over the Top and Real Steel have very similar IMDB ratings. Just sayin'.
