This is quite a silly thread!

The main character is supposed to manipulate people, at least as much with her brains as with her body. She would not need to look like a young movie star to succeed. And she certainly uses well her lines (and I am not talking about her curves, natural or not) to that effect.

As for her looks, again, focus on the character itself. Why, with her money as a famous writer would she not indulge herself with plastic surgery?
Of course if what you are looking for in a movie is a pretty young actress then they are many other movies to satisfy your appetite.
I think she acted quite in character and the psychiatrist is not himself a teenager.
Teenagers who expect a teenager movie should look elsewhere. I enjoyed it as an adult movie and in my view all the actors were quite good.

Too bad. She made this the year after Broken Flowers. She looked beautiful in Broken Flowers. Considerably younger than she is. Haven't seen this so I can't comment on how old she looks.
