reality is, Miami Vice was an exceptional remake and gave the genre a new perspective... Colin Farrell gave a new take on Sonny that put Don Johnson to shame and then there were about a thousand other things...
This version of Miami Vice was great, completely made the TV series look insane, and I really appreciate it for it's creativity .....

Amen, smfilm. I'm an "old timer" who saw MV in its original TV run. I am well aware of all the cliches and silliness it contained, but love it anyway. This film was a wonderfully realistic update of the series. Loved every minute of it.
