I heard this documentary was a secret Far-Right propaganda, made as an effort to rail against the supposedly "Liberal Decay" of the US (non-existent, might I add). This was one of the main reason I did not buy this documentary. I did not want to support nutjobs and religious fanatics.

In any event, the far right in America would despise this movie. Think how precarious the entire process of mating and survival was. The fact that climate change would endanger it immensely -- if the ice doesn't form properly, the whole thing is doomed -- means that the far right would be howling in fury at the premise of the movie and claim it was liberal propaganda designed to draw attention to the consequences of climate change.
Also, the penguins shack up with a new mate every year. The godless heathens.
