Ok, for me this was the first time i EVER heard this racial slure, other slurs Randal mentioned i knew of, but can someone please clarify how 'Porch Monkey' is one of them?

I heard the term "yard ape" used in the children's book "Ramona the Pest"

shareI think Kevin got this from my old tech school. The Dean or someone in a meeting called the people in Katrina a bunch porch monkeys. It was on the national news and stuff. I had never heard till then. When people told me what was going on I was just like.... um whats that. When I saw this it gave me a chuckle thinking it came from that incident.

I'd never heard it until Clerks II, either - which I suppose is a good thing. The world needs less racial slurs and more proud self-identifiers, so well done to the movie for 'taking it back'!
