I don't know if it's just me, but doesn't anyone else see any similarities to Forrest Gump? From the childhood romance, to going off and leading extraordinary lives, to reuniting with your love for a bit, to separating again, and reuniting at the bitter end. To me it's a good companion piece to Gump and thoroughly enjoy both movies.

Yes, I thought the same and had check it out. The above video is hilarious and is spot on with similarities from both movies.

I went into this movie not knowing that much about it and was surprised at how similar it is to FG but I do think it's slightly better than FG. Both are very good though. FG would probably be easier to sit though multiple times, CCBB would probably get old after watching it a few times. lol... that was funny. get it?

Isn't a film's rewatchability integral to how well made it is?

Not exactly. For example...

I have no desire to watch The Godfather again but I still recognize it as a great movie but I'd rather watch Goodfellas a few more times.

Favorite and best movies can vary.
