For the first time I see Meredith and Alex as a couple

They're way too much like brother & sister, so it would be kind of awkward. Also, why risk ruining a strong friendship by becoming lovers? Plus, pairing Meredith, in a romantic way, with a pathetic and immature brat like Karev would be awful. Why would anyone wish such a cruel & unusual punishment on Meredith? Hasn't she suffered enough? I want Meredith to be with Nathan. He's better than Karev. Sexier, hotter, better looking, funnier and smarter.

I saw Meredith and Alex as a couple when she was still married to Derek. She always had better chemistry with Alex.

Meredith and Alex becoming an official couple (they are currently a couple as they both are imvested in each other) would be more interesting than watching Meredith/Riggs/Maggie with Maggie becoming so sour at Meredith and the obvious return of Owen's sister (watching Meredith repeat her relationship with Derrick: Meredith falls in love, the ex love returns, Meredith's love interest tries to work it out with the returned love).

Meredith having to choose between Alex and Riggs - Meredith realizing how many " life storms" Alex has helped Meredith get through, Meredith contemplating should her life partner be a person she has a deep friendship with as Meredith had her "swept off her feet physical relationship with Derrick," or a person that she just met (Riggs).

Meredith has much more to consider now than she did when she was the girl in the bar. Meredith has to think about her children, consistent reliability (a person that knows her and will be there for her no matter what).

Watching Meredith run around hiding in various parts of the hospital with Riggs to keep their relationship a secret from Maggie, Maggie finding out and having to watch Maggie act in a manner that Meredith is the worst person on earth, Riggs' fiance return just when Meredith and Riggs are together, Riggs leaving Meredith - has been done before.

I've been feeling that way since early mid S12 to S13 !!!! They are so end game. It might take awhile, and they'd have to do it right (writers/actors) but it's so perfect.
