I thought it was cool how it brought back memories from when I was a kid that had a crush on one girl. My family and I were just looking for something to watch and they saw this movie and said "Let's check it out." So I flipped to that channel expecting to switch channels about 2 mins. into the movie however, our eyes were glued to the screen from the beginning.
shareI'ma turning 20, and this movie brought back so many memories. This movie is awesome, one of my faves of all time due to the fact that I can honestly relate to it. Dont like the ending tho :( he shoulda got the gurrl!!! made me feel a lil empty and hurt at the end... but i guess a good movie always makes u feel something inside :)
shareI agree, this movie is one of the best movies i have seen in a long time. a true love story, without any sexual refferences of any kind, i knew it could be done, but i cant believe it took so long to produce a love story/movie like this one.

Awesome romance. One of the finest romantic comedies I've ever seen. You can learn a lot about romance watching this movie.
I had some free time and was looking through the on-demand cable channels for something to watch. I'd never heard of this movie and didn't know any of the actors/actresses. I was expecting a typical 20-30 year old couple romantic comedy. I really enjoyed the setting since I'm a New Yorker. It goes to show you don't need high-paid talent to make a good movie. I liked the soundtrack and camerawork, too.
That tiny park they went to was the second time I'd seen it in a movie. I can't remember the other movie I saw it in, though.
For a couple of kids, they sure had an intense relationship. The anticipation of the first kiss was so unsettling. I found the movie so refreshing. I'd highly recommend seeing this movie.
Well put togeather excellent preformances GREAT MUSIC very natural and real acting one of Josh Hutchersons best!

I really think that Josh Hutcherson played his role very well. I also think Charlie Ray played her role phenomenally. I really really liked this movie because it isn't the whole, Teenaged boy-meets Teenaged girl-they fall in love story. It's about two young lovers. And I really think that it has a very powerful ending too. I think they should make a sequel about Gabe and Rosemary in middle school maybe and she didn't get into the private school so she just went to the middle school. They could rekindle their flame, yet this time, have another girl, who is trying to steal Gabe away. I also think this film should be in Rosemary's point of view instead of Gabe's.

Gabe's crying scene makes me laugh hysterically every time I watch it. I have the DVD, so that's pretty often. It's so adorable. I just watched it today and, after seeing the newer pictures of Josh in magazines, I started laughing. He looks so little (even if it was just 2 years ago...). His voice is so cute because of not having hit puberty yet. This is one of my all-time favorites.
