That Dive Was Retarded!

First off, you don't do that in water you have no idea what may be below there. He could have hit anything down there when he hit the water.

Second, why didn't he do that IN THE FIRST PLACE, thereby giving Lucky Larry a chance to survive and avoiding that dead duck bridge altogether?

reply

I thought the same thing. Diving into the water with NO idea how much broken furniture, pieces of metal, shards, debris etc. were just waiting there for him to impale himself on.

reply

When you a badass mofo you don't give a *beep*.....

reply

My thing is is why didn't he get burned?

reply

The first thing I thought of was the fire; if getting impaled or slamming into foot-deep ceiling didn't kill him, then swimming for two minutes in boiling water would've. Literally the dumbest thing I've seen in a movie for a long time.

reply

Boiling water??? The fire had started literally a minute ago and it's oil burning on the surface of thousand upon thousands of gallons of water from the north Atlantic at new years. That scenario would have taken hours upon hours before the top 2 inches of that water even was tepid ffs.

Jesus Christ, talk about on overreaction to a menial comment about a menial film. It seems like you get worked up over simple things like this in the common world. You put more thought into this crap film than the writers did, apparently.

I'm guessing you missed the part where he dove through a layer of fire? I'm sure that would be completely safe, right? I think you should try it.

reply

There are performers who do that for a living. Once they penetrate the surface, the fire can't oxidize. Perfectly safe.

reply

I'd definitely try that !

reply

If a guy was being a jerk to me I'll let him go first. Could have shifted the beam myself but the debris did it for them

reply

Also he had no idea how long that hose was gonna be it could quite easily of snapped back and held him above the firewater and bounced him up n down like on a bungy rope!!

Totally ridiculous scene!
