the most disgusting part that i found in the movie was the part where toby kissed bree & was ready to have sex (accidently) with his own father...the director played down this part (since it would have made the film too depressing) but my guess is that after such a thing (like desiring ur own father) toby was never goin to be the same again nor forgive bree...

Well it's certainly pleasnt to read 5pages of messages on such a controversial scene with no insults.Usually these discussions start in a civilised manour and end sooner or later in exchange of labels("you are so gay","you can't get the heart of a straight man you *beep* ,finally,pure swearing.

I have to admit that I found this part of the movie a little disturbing as well,not to mention a little illogical. When Toby first learned that bree was a man, he seemed repulsed and angered to the point that he outed her in front of a perfect stranger and then wanted nothing to do with her. Then all of a sudden, when they were at her parents' house, he was ready to give himself to her sexually and even offered to marry her. This was the only part of the film that troubled me.

I think he was being a little, in lack of a better word, "overdramatic", when he first found out bree still had a "males part". He was betrayed and lied to all his life. he had opened up to bree and he expected her to tell him about her. "everything". he said something about this is the movie. and when he had to find out, without her even wanting him to know, it upset him. when bree asked him if he really thought she was a freak he said "no, just a liar". i think he was just lied to so much, and he overreacted to the one person he was close to. remember at the get-together he had no problem with the houseguests and said they were nice, so i doubt he has a problem with transgenders.
When looking at the ending scene when toby is coming on to bree, of course the viewers are a little "freaked out" because we are the ones who know they are related. toby doesnt.
