Better Overall Watched Stoned

Am I the only one that enjoys A Scanner Darkly and Waking Life high? I find A Scanner Darkly so immersive and real when I get stoned to it. The animation makes the film trippy to watch.

The comedy given by Robert Downey Jr.'s character Barris was great. Along with Keanu Reeves and Woody Harellson. I really couldn't imagine enjoying this movie any other way. Especially being a big pot head here I appreciate films like this that can reach out to drug users and deliver a message.

If you don't smoke pot while watching this than why watch it at all? When you get high to the film you put yourself more in the shoes of the characters instead of just viewing them from a sober and objective standpoint.

I say fck the haters that belittle us pot heads. Get stoned. Have some fun and watch A Scanner Darkly.

P.S. Don't be sober

I'm starting to think you might have smoked weed before.

The movie is already a mind trip all on its own, so... pass.

But you know, it might be worth watching it that way.

I think I did watch it that way. lol. I think I should retry it without. :D

I imagine it won't be as...stimulating. Haha. I say go for it either way.

Because it reminds us about staying away from that path, we know whats down that path and where it leads.

Its also good to see and keep in mind we are one generation away from living in an authoritarian society. Alex Jones has a cameo in this movie!

I showed it to my fiance for the first time recently and she remarked halfway through it "this is such a pothead movie, im sorry". But by the end of the movie she saw the film for what it was. How choices we make shape our lives, how your life is dictated by the company you keep, and that we cannot become complacent with the wrong in our lives and the world.

Watching it high makes for a fun time, but makes you lose the point of the story. You get the filler but not "the substance". The REAL substance of this movie, is to be vigilant in your life and not allow yourself to live in darkness.

This movie has become more resonating today than when it came out. We ARE being monitored, and we have all these things our lives that make us complacent with our s h i t t y lives and ignore the evil globalists taking away our freedom and enslaving us in their prison of misinformation, confusion, divison, loneliness, narcissism, leading to disillusionment.
