I thought it was brilliant! 8/10

Reminded me of Intolerable Cruelty, but still felt very fresh as it's a darker and more subtle experience. Overall a great classic comedy, one of the best I've seen for a long time. Definitely recognizable as a Coen piece, but with a welcome British touch. :-)

Well, to each it's own, I guess. :-) I'm NOT a big fan of Colin Firth but I thought that he was great in Gambit as the character's role seemed to be a perfect fit for him. He's a funny guy in a very unique way and should do more comedies in my opinion!

Yeap, it was horrible in every possible way. It felt like Mr Bean mixed with Pink Panther kinda movie, but that would be badmouthing those movies...

it's out? wow. had no idea.

I agree - it was a great film - funny, nice plot and a little twist at the end. 7/10 in my humble opinion!

For me it was Tom Courtenay as Major Wingate who made the whole movie. His way of delivering the lines were pure bliss. 7/10 from me also.

Yeah great sense if humor and unpredictable story, love it!!

I thought the movie has not been released yet in the U.S., I checked on CBS films and they posted a Oct 12,2013 release date for the U.S. Alan Rickman is my favorite actor so I've been looking forward to seeing this film.
I saw Gambit with Shirley MacClaine in the mid 60's and remember it being in the same vein as the Pink Panther films and other like How To Steal A Million Dollars, Paris When It Sizzles, etc.

I truly enjoyed it. Yes, Cameron Diaz is woefully miscast to the point that you keep thinking how much better it could have been with a better actress, but still it's stylish and fun.
