Can I get some recommendations as to which films I should watch that are similar to Little Children?
I really loved this film.
Several great recommendations here. I believe no one mentioned Michael Haneke's works yet, I'd recommend two of his films that involve relationships and can be disturbing yet masterfully filmed/acted "The Piano Teacher (La Pianiste)" and "Amour".

Towelhead..again blurred lines because some EFF'ed up authority figures in this little girl's life.
