shareMental illness.
Just as we credited God for the good things we can't explain for centuries at the same time we credited Satan for the bad we don't understand.
Hey! You're not old enough to drink! Now go and die for your country!!!
Mental illness is the only explanation because demonic possession is not real, god is not real, and the supposed 'true' story was made up as well.
shareI know it's a "popular" or EDGY thing to do to try and label people who believe in the supernatural as "mentally ill" (cute, not like that further stigmatizes actual mental illness or anything), but no. Absolutely not.
Just because they believe in something that another doesn't, doesn't make them "ill". I don't know if read about the case this was based on, but the parents of Anneliese Michel DID seek medical treatment and only used exorcisms as an absolute last resort. They don't just go out and do exorcisms on anyone who claims to be possessed. You have to meet a criteria and an official exorcist has an entire team including psychologists and neurologists.
Demonic Possession - its happened way to often to be treated as a mistaken anakysis
Darkness lies an inch ahead
I believe it was aliens & Bigfoot working together.
Because I am a highly-educated historian, having watched the History Channel for decades, and thus I know more about the supposed supernatural than you common folk. We are all really alien/human hybrids and the "supernatural" is really just the result of alien manipulation & experimentation with Bigfoot helping our secret alien overlords.
In the movie, demonic possession. In the 'true story' (if it happened), mental illness.
I don't believe in demons.
Well, since demons do not exist, this is an easy one..
