I personally loved this movie and while I understand that not everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did, I was at least expecting to see a 7.2 rating! I dunno. What about everybody else?
shareI think it's a bit underrated. It's no masterpiece, and it loses a bit of steam in the second half, but I thought it was sweet and made me laugh out loud several times (not just a chuckle, but a guffaw).

I usually watch movies after checking IMDB ratings and avoid <7 movies since I never seem to like any in that category. I merely gave it a shot since I liked Charlie Bartlett a lot.But bloody hell, god knows how this got rated as low as 6.5!! I can see why some might not love it, but regardless it's definitely a 7.0-7.5 film. Great quirky comedy, could watch it endless times without getting bored :) I'm no Cera fan either FWIW.
I know you wrote this some time ago, but I completely agree! It's one of my favorite "feel good" films. Slightly corny, but still hilarious and heartfelt.

I think some expected your more typical teen comedy and became frustrated and perplexed at the subtle humour contained in this, resulting in some reactions of "OMG worst movie ever!"
I loved it and was laughing throughout. 8/10 from me.
You know it makes sense.
