Which is worse: drug dealing or arms dealing?!

Is interesting the question. Both dealings are illegal and both products kills but I would say drug dealing is worse because drugs serve no purpose whereas guns serve a purpose: to defend and/or kill!

Well, you can kill me in a few seconds with a gun, but you cannot kill me with marijuana. You can't even kill me with "hard" drugs unless I'm stupid enough to choose to start abusing them myself, which I'm not. (Do you know many really smart people who started doing crack, meth or heroin? Me neither.)

okay buddy, go on believing that.

It isn't a matter of belief. I asked if you knew (and I meant personally, not whether you knew of someone, such as the miscreant celebrities we all hear about) any really smart people who had started doing the more dangerous drugs. I did know one guy about 30 years ago, who was no genius but not a complete idiot, who snorted more coke than he should have. He soon realized it and cleaned himself up. But no, none of the really smart folks I've known ever were dumb enough to get into the more hazardous chemicals.

Hard to say as both industries are heavily interlinked. Organised criminals tend to have their fingers in many pies. Whichever is the lesser evil, it's still supporting the other!

I'm going to go for drug dealing as war would still take place without arms dealers, people would just use sticks and stones. But there would be far fewer junkies if it wasn't for the drugs trade.

none is evil in essence, it depends on circumstances, and they shouldn't be illegal, but they could be unethical sometimes, you are brainwashed. the only reason why the evil governments of the world make them illegal is to make the prices high and make more prophet for their own pockets. use your imagination!

Indeed - killing is the only purpose guns exist. So it`s not exactly a tough task to figure out their presence in the world is quite a bit less desireable.

Well, there you have it. Lock up anyone that sells alcohol immediately, they are worse than arms dealers and drugs serve no purpose.

Are you referring to only the drugs the DEA has a vendetta against?
America's illegal drugs are legal in some places, like Portugal, and it's working great for them.

I think killing people is far worse than recreational drug use. One is BY an individual who is willing. The other is done TO an individual who is almost never willing. One guarantees death, the other is only deadly when used improperly. Many guns are clearly not for sport, hunting, or recreation. They are designed with, and for, one purpose, killing people.

FTR, I am not anti-gun, I am 100% for private gun ownership.

drugs serve no purpose

Again, you must be thinking about drugs like heroin and cocaine. Ever heard of Novocain(Procaine) or Morphine? Guess what those are derived from.

You should educate yourself. Here's a good place to start;

Definitely arms dealing! No one forces someone to take drugs, they do it voluntarily; if it's not victimless, the victim at least chose to do that to themselves.

Arms dealing on the scale of this movie results in governments being overthrown and people being massacred. It's not like arms dealers sell one person one gun, that could be rationalized as self defense. These guys perpetuate violence on a massive scale.
