I'm not one to cry easily, but I still cried even though I already knew it was coming! It's just so sad!!

shareI watched the movie because I felt sick and wanted cheering up a few years ago.
Lets just say it didn't cheer me up. I'm not afraid to admit I almost welled up, but I was so full of rage I didn't cry.

Who would have guessed it, we all have different opinions about subjective things!

I felt the tears coming on but somehow managed not to cry...but I believe I might upon another viewing.
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
Your little spies
Never has a flm or piece of fiction been so sad....

24 years old, and yes, I shed some tears. I love it when movies move me like this.

I did!
I saw this movie for the first time today and I just sobbed a lot. From the moment he knew about the death until the credits, I was sobbing. It was so sad.
HE DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE COCKADOODIE CAR!
I definitly had tears in my eyes the first time I watched it! I showed it afterwards to my girlfriend and two other friends, keeping some handkerchieves handy...well the handkerchieves were more than useful!!
"Get away from her you bitch!!"
For someone who is quite exposed to Korean Melodrama, I have to say that after watching so many (like My Sassy Girl, A moment to remember, I'm Sorry I love you.. and many more), I have come to be quite desensitized to Hollywood tear jerking moments. I oftentimes chuckle when people mention Titanic as a tear Jerker.. The Scene in Up where we find out the old man's wife died is sadder.. Bumblebee getting his legs torn off in Transformers and about to be executed in Dark of the Moon is more emotionally engaging for me than Titanic.
However, this movie did surprise me. It was exceptionally well made and acted, from the kids to the parents and all involved.
I didn't feel the tears chocking during the first reveal of Leslie's death.. It did come as an impact and a twist shock since we first think the parents are simply worried about Jessie. But then... it's like, WHAT?? Disbelief. The audience is placed in the same shoes Jessie is in, a very smart move. However, this wasn't it. It's the emotional ride Jessie goes through, the denial, anger and such... Him punching out that kid in class was awesome, then the Bully Girl punching out the Red-Head kid later on.. Very good..
Though, I will say this, I felt the tears chocking me when Jessie is finally found by his father in the strange land (Terabithia) and Jessie's final breakdown where he blames himself. It's the whole emotional outburst that the audience feels and yearns for.. Just well delivered.. When he cried and said that it's he's fault.. I could barely hold myself from tearing up.. and it was challenging.. trust me..
A very very nice surprise of a movie.
I don't care about misleading trailers or that some argue that it isn't for kids. It is a very much oriented family movie. The book was written by a mother of a Son to help him cope with the death of his friend (girl) who was struck by lightening on a beach. So how could this not be appropriate for kids.
Its shows life, death and the reality of it in the proper and healthy perspective.
It has a great message, always have dreams, don't be afraid to be who you are and stay true to yourself. Everyone experiences them, and even at your darkest moments, don't give up, there is always a light and a way to overcome and make it better.
Which the movie does. My hats off to it.
