I recently finished watching the entire series for the first time, and I liked Serena in Season 1 and partially 2. After that, I didn't like her. I think she was always too selfish and self absorbed and always blamed everyone else except herself.
I ended up liking Blair a lot more.
Just started watching the show, I am currently on season 2 so far I like her. Just out of curiosity who does Nate end up with?
shareHe ends up single, which is sad bc he was the better guy. Not that I do not support focusing on personal goals and leaving relationships aside. But the one who should have ended alone was Dan.

shareShe has some likeable moments in the first two seasons, though she's still selfish and always tried to act like nothing was her fault. Seasons after that made the likeable moments fewer and far between.
shareI never liked Serena. She was unbearably whiny. But I can't decide if that's the character or just Blake Lively. Either way, no, I didn't like Serena and found her the least sympathetic character on the show which is saying something.

shareI liked her in S1,S2,S3 AND S6.
They ruined her in 4 and 5 totally. But in the last eps I think she was her likable self again. Her relationship with Dan was rushed, but they were cute together, I didn't mind them as endgame.
She was my friend's favourite character. I never liked her. I mean, Blair was a mega-bitch a lot of the time and did some awful things but she owned it. I can respect that. I hated Serena's perpetual "Who, me? I never do anything bad! Bad things just happen around me, like, all the time" schitck. She hardly ever owned up to her mistakes or flaws and acted like any trouble she caused wasn't directly her fault.
