RE4 gamers confessions...

since RE4's release in 05 i have been playing this game to no end. however, even to this day, i cannot solve the sliding stone puzzle (while playing as ashley) without using the strategy guide. i have yet to know it by heart. what are some confessions you true gamers have?

last surprise i got was in 2004 when jigsaw rose from the floor.

I used to break boxes with the handgun. Fail...to think of all the ammo I wasted.
I killed the merchant once, the one standing in front of the red door at the castle. I thought it was a ganado.
Like everyone else, I'm obsessed with organizing my case.
And I failed escaping the island on Ada's jet ski more than 20 times. Ugh.

The light that you could never see
it shines inside, you can't take that from me

My confession is that I whacked my friend in the face for suggesting that Dead Rising was better then RE4 lol

My RE4 confessions were being too meticulous with organizing weapons and items in the case, I chickened out when I first heard the zealots chant, I always have and still prefer the standard pistol over the other ones, I don't know why.

I bought the game 2 years ago.. and I've attempted to play it over a dozen times. But EVERY time I get to the first village, I panic. Either I panic and get myself killed, or I panic and turn the game off. One of these days, I'll get past that first village. *coward*

And also. Since ya'll already know I'm a coward, I might as well tell you I had the same experience with the Resident Evil: Director's Cut AND Resident Evil: City of the Dead. My issue with DC is that I always run out of ammo too quickly and end up dead. And my issue with COTD is that friggen alligator. I kno you're supposed to shoot the tanks down the tunnel but I always panic and turn the corner, and I'm eaten every single time. /epic fail. lmao.

In general, I'm just an overly anxious person. Shouldn't be playing the games in the first place but I love them.

Got the game in 2005 and have played it dozens of times. Only just realised like 3 days ago that i can shoot a plank of wood to stop the brass pendant/pocket watch getting dirty and therefore earning me an extra 18K

I cant kill Verdugo with a maxed out handgun...at all

Every single time i fight the two El Gigantes in the mines, the one without the chains ALWAYS falls into the magma, without fail no matter what i do.

On every second playthrough, i save up all my money for the Infinite launcher, buy it, then dont use it and later sell it...then repeat cycle.

No one cared who I was until I put on the mask.

- Refer to the Merchant as Jimmy

- Like to organize my attache case

- Like to play this game every single October since ive gotten it because it suits the mood.

- I constantly talk to myself while playing the game and cant help it

- Ive killed Ashley and the Merchant on purpose before

- Deathly afraid of the Regenerators and the Right Hand monster. So much so that i need a rocket launcher any time they are around.

- Absolutely hate fighting Krauser, its the hardest part of the game for me.

- Anytime a large amount of Ganados come at me i instantly back into a corner so that nothing can sneak up on me.

- Favorite part of the game is the Village, dont care much for the island.

- Looked up Ashleys skirt with the rifle scope.....accidentally shot her in the vag hahahhaaha

Dear Warden, You were right. Salvation lies within.

I like to keep my inventory well organized.

I get easily startled in the hedge maze when one of those dogs jumps through the walls.

I tried something, and regretted it. I was shooting fish (health value) on the dock at the lake, and not knowing, the lake serpent jumped out of the lake and killed me. It was a bad startle.

When playing the GameCube version, when the boulder came rolling down after me, I kept striking the action command to the point I was literally out of breath. It sucked when I died and had to go through that again, and again.

My favorite area of the game is the castle. I like the creepy atmosphere.

I was disappointed that Wesker (at the time I first played it) didn't make an appearance, even though he was mentioned in the castle.

I was disappointed that Umbrella is gone.

I get startled when a bomb goes off in front of me and I didn't even know it was thrown at me.

When playing the GameCube version the first several times, I would get killed often when Leon confronts Krauser and I had to do an on-screen command. I wasn't used to having to do any commands during a cut-scene, and it took me a while to get it right.

Now playing the PS3 HD version, I'm stuck on the part in the castle just before Ashley has to turn the cranks to raise platforms in the water. There's too many cultist and I don't have enough ammo to get passed.

I can't solve the sliding stone puzzle too.

I managed to kill a regenerator with a knife, you use the shotgun to blow his arms, legs and head then just go close with the knife and stab da f-ck outta him.

"Valley girls giving blowjobs for Louboutins, what you call that? Head over heels?"

- I constantly reload all my weapons. Constantly.

- I only play the game in Jan or Feb since that's when I first played it originally

- I hate fighting the Verdugo and Krauser - neither are fun

- Despite the fact that I have OCD, I never organize the case but it bothers me if I have to drop an item

- The castle is my favorite part of the game

- I'd rather slap Ashley than rescue her because her voice is so annoying

- Whenever the Merchant says "What are ya buyin'/sellin?", I always say it with him in the same accent

- I find Ada Wong's voice to be very sexy

- As good as it is, I still prefer RE 2
