Shouldn't there have been at least one scene of her doing real work?

I can see how the guys would be pissed off if she was getting paid a lot money just to walk around the mine

They would have had to show the men doing work too, which i dont remember seeing much of - unless constantly writing obscenities on the walls and committing boorish pranks to harass was what they were hired to do. They couldn't be too pissed if she was following directions from the union foreman, but which seemed to come from a committee of her worst admirers.

We have to accept work was being done off camera - she was completing never ending tasks of cleaning the walls of the men's art work that used nauseating substances for their paint. Do you think her work was harder to remove their artwork, once it dried, or was the work harder for the men to put it up? The supervision of that kind of work crew would have gotten alot of attention in a real workplace. What kind of dummass foreman couldn't recognize how all of that wasted time was preventing people from doing their real jobs.

Or, maybe thats good enough for union work? I dunno. Its a reminder of that stereotyped image of union members on the clock. One guy is digging a hole, with nine others standing around him supervising the work.

This was Charlize Theron. One of the hottest, prettiest looking actresses in H.Wood today. You don't make a movie star do any blue collar grunt work.
And she doesn't poop either.

I guess you've never seen her in Monster?

I'd beg for some forgiveness but begging's not my business.

Blasting the walls down with the hose, and also scrubbing dirt off.
