Special edition. My biggest gripe with films is they are paced too fast, and I feel films are made for people with short attention spans, whenever I have seen uncut versions of movies I notice is at least one important story telling scene that gets omitted for the theatre cut, Sometimes I even watch movies not fully understanding the content, then I do after I see cut scenes. The brain surgery, leaning mode stuff I felt was really important for starters and even the extra scenes showing the T1000 was not operating properly with it melding with the floor at the end. Depends where you are. There is some really rough and poor areas in the UK, that many have been shielded from. My area was not rough as such, but the GCSE college I went to, two final years of school, was pretty chaotic. The teachers chose to do a hands off approach, and the pupils were told this, first name terms, no supervision at breaks, and no discipline in classes. The things that happened? 1 - Regular fights and damage caused in eating area. 2 - Frequently in classes loads of messing around, parties etc. teacher would usually ignore it. 3 - Smoking on site in open. Science labs etc had no equipment as it had previously been stolen, damaged etc. Any rooms that had things of value like computers were locked when no class. The chaos also happened on the school buses, and 2 firms bailed out of it due to damage to their buses and coaches. This was back in 1994/1995, I know its worse now given what I seen, a teacher moved in as a neighbour about 10 years ago, and we had kids throwing bricks through windows. There is also multiple reports of teachers getting bullied in their own classes, videos on tiktok and the like showing it, and harassed out of school, likewise bullying is typically worse now days, as because of social media it tends to get taken out of school. I hated the last couple of years at school, couldnt get out of there quick enough, and reading how bad it is now, its no surprise there is a shortage of teachers. This isnt really a surprise though as physical punishment in schools is gone, this kind of thing was inevitable I think. Also where I live school children are routinely driving stolen cars over a bridge on a park pathway, lighting fires in the park, having loud music on in the park all night, taking drugs, riding motor bikes through the park, and the local co op closed due to rampant shoplifting. The police have no power as minors are not allowed to be touched in modern Britain. Anti social behaviour is not considered important. I think its just a plot hole. I felt the scripting was a bit flawed e.g. spying on coders in their homes and then killing them, that to me is lazy writing, so based on that this situation where Lisa helps him finish the graphics for the clip he plays to the world, whilst also being loyal to NURV is just an over sight they hope the average viewer doesnt catch on to. I also dont think any information was planted on the files, I think the script writers werent thinking in that kind of complexity, instead its just to show the viewers why the main character would trust her to help him, the writers had to provide something to explain that behaviour. Likewise his girlfriend, that information wasnt planted, instead it was just to add extra to the plot, so he now distrusts his girlfriend, its more drama to add to the movie, and to explain why she ended up helping him in the end is she simply ended up liking him. No I am actually a researcher. The research ironically was originally to investigate why underweight people havent been putting on weight despite a high calorie diet. However there is no reasoned debate to be had with you as you wont even accept something as simple as metabolism being different from individual to individual. You seem to be nitpicking a bit. But it is explained in the movie that the agents can bend the rules of the matrix but not completely break it. So they can move their body to dodge bullets e.g. but can they use the same trick to run towards a person, (so really fast movement speed), perhaps not. The people been near each other (or even starting in same room) is explained with how they got in there. Logically someone has to put them in there, and logically from that they not going to be far from either the exit room or a maintenance entrance. If I remember correctly they started in either the exit room or one close to it in the first movie. Her acting was "good enough" and the way they did her makeup etc. she was absolutely beautiful. I didnt know the tale, but given the predictability of hollywood, there was no way achilles was dieing before the end. He was the plot. Was a chance of the fight been interrupted or achilles getting injured, but nothing worse then that for him. Early in the movie he cared about being remembered in years to come, being someone special. But could see he was starting to have doubts and didnt respect the main king he was fighting for. He had to be convinced to sail and join the invasion, but after the beach invasion he had the same doubts again after an argument with the main king and at that point decided to leave it behind him. But then his brother wanting to fight for the greeks put on his armour and led his fighters in to battle, after the death, vengeance took over for a short time before his doubts came back. In the final scenes could see he had set on a new path, but it was too late and his end finally came. At the start I wouldnt have called him a selfish sob, he still answered the call of his king, and even when considering backing out, he was convinced to take on the one on one to save lives of the army.
