wut do u think the toughest football position is?

i'm a junior in high school, i play defensive line. i'd say that the linemen work the hardest out of everyone, what position do u think is the hardest?

Honestly, D line doesn't work too hard. Read the other guys, follow the ball, block. I went from O line guard and tackle to D line Nose guard (my fav position) and found myself in Line Back this year. Gotta say, hardest for me has been LB; gotta have power, speed, and the ability to get the hell knocked out of you at high speed, which took getting used to from working line.
Honestly though, there's not really an 'easier/harder' position. Regarding the work-praise ratio, average onlookers couldn't care about line until we screw up, so in a weighted scenario Line definitely works the hardest for the respect, but we don't need speed, just brute power (hence my promotion, or demotion, however you look at it), so without taking into account the recognition, I'd say LB, maybe QB and receivers for the memorization. Sure, line had to memorize stuff too, but not near that much.

You call it immature, Chris Hansen calls it "catching a predator", I call it...The Super Troll

Without question the most physically demanding position is OL/DL. The only players who take a hit every single play, and they often knock heads, which can cause concussions. As for the most difficuly, QB or CB. CB because they have to stick with a receiver, and they literally have no idea what he is going to do. Also, the anti defense rules in the NFL only make it harder. QB and QB usually require to most intelligence in pro schemes.

I guess it's one of those sports where each position is tough in its own way really. It's not like baseball where the catcher clearly plays the toughest position. It also depends on what kind of offense or defense you run. In a lot of defenses the middle linebacker has the most responsibility. In some offenses the QB has the most responsibility but on some teams really run the ball a lot and the running back takes on the responsibility.

The QB in a more balanced or pass-heavy offense has a tough job, to lead the team, make sure everyone is in position, read the defense, put the ball where it needs to go, scramble away from defenders, call audibles if necessary. The QB is the player who is most the extension of the coach.

Quarterback obviously on offense.

On defense in defensive back. You are at an extreme disadvantage against a player who knows where he is going. You could say that for any defensive player, but DB's are covering the fastest players who have a head start. No matter what you will give up points at one time or another. You have to have a short memory. You have to play the pass first but if it is a run, by the time you have reacted the running back has a full head of steam. It sucks tackling a 200 pound running back in a dead sprint and you standing still basically.

The ultimate truth I learned playing DB was you can stop ANYONE by taking their legs out, no matter how big or fast they are.
