WHY DID THIS NEVER GET TO THEATERS??

This was meant to be J. Timberlake's film debut and I remember People chronicled the filming of it back in 2003/2004. Why did it never get to theaters?

Because the movie industry was trying to climb out of their ticket-sales slump, not dig themselves back into it.
