Documentaries use green screens?

-Dwight and Michael at the tip
-Erin in Florida

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

reply

Yes they do sometimes.

Those were just the obvious uses, and badly done.

There would have been plenty of other less obvious uses as there are in many shows. The very low cost of even quite impressive effects means they tend to get used in all types of shows not just the ones that seem like they need effects.

The one with Erin in Florida was terrible. It was supposed to be a nice, sunny day behind her, but Erin was lit up to look like she in a studio.

reply

I don't get why they did that, was it meant to be a joke?

It felt like they (The Office producers) discovered they needed a slightly longer scene after they had left the filming location, and quickly shot the one with Elle/Erin during cutting.

I don’t understand ? So it wasn’t really outdoors ?
Even the dump site with Michael and Dwight was not real?

reply

Dwight and Michael at the tip of what??

reply

What are you asking and why?

reply

"The tip" is the British term for "the dump" I.e. where garbage goes
