I disagree, I always liked the 2nd film more than the first. Funnier, more outrageous, weirder, more spectacular.

Everything after that was crap, of course.

It comes pretty close to matching the first movie, I think. A couple things hold it back. The bit with the cannibal islanders drags on for a while. And it does play up Jack Sparrow's antics more compared to his ingenuity than the first one.

there's for sure a few scenes that get lost in the weeds. just needed some tighter editing.

I think so as well, just watched this a few days ago and it still holds up as a great action/comedy.

Yes, it is a great one, funny, entertaining, nice and in some way charming.

First film is more classic and nostalgic but this one is more fun. It is hard for me to pick which one I like more
