Sorry, but I loved it.

There were a lot of possible errors, I admit it, and yes, the plot went a little fast.

But it was funny, it was cute, and I really liked it. And yes, I'm an adult who went completely by myself to see a children's movie. And you know what? I liked it. It was a good movie.

Grow up.

Despite my disagreeing with you, I've gotta respect your honesty and attitude. There are few traits worse than acting as if your **** doesn't stink, and your friendly assertion is anything but. Cheers. :D

Oh hey Tim, how's it going?

Are the Galaxy Quest 2 rumors factual, by the way?

I just got done watching this movie and I have to say it was very entertaining!! It's not a big blockbuster hit its just something fun and to entertain people! and it was alot of fun, me and my friends really enjoyed and everyone in the audience was loving it as well, including children and adults!!~

i liked this movie, i thought it was cute. the audience was pretty full so apparently people wanted to see the movie. there were parts where the whole audience was laughing. as a whole, i think the movie was a fun, summer movie, even though the plot is a little over-used.

reply

Yes, it was very predictable, but I liked it. The characters were enjoyable, as was most of the humor. It's not a blockbuster, but I will enjoy seeing it again once it comes out on video.

I liked it too.
This is one of Tim Allen's better movies. Some movies I just can't stand him in - a.k.a. "Joe Somebody" and "Christmas with the Kranks". For the character he played in this movie, he was enjoyable to watch.

Good on the editing side. Loved the music they used. I've watched a number superhero/superpower movies, but this was one of the better movies I've seen. I didn't think it was cheesy. But a fun and enjoyable 83 minutes.

Yep, 'fraid so. All I really wanted to do was waste a rainy Saturday afternoon and eat some popcorn - wound up laughing out loud a couple of times and my 15 year old was tossing off one-liners from the movie by dinnertime. And I have to admit it was neat to see Tim Allen play straight man to Courteney Cox's character. Will see again on DVD.

im mixed about this film

on one level i like it fits if you wanna sit down one day and watch "spy kids" and "sky high" thats what this film is primarily for sure it has moments of humour and as always tim allen makes the best of what he's given.

the bad is that chevy chase comes across as bland and rip torn's character is directly pulled form MIB. and the writer or director ran out of creative ideas for hero costumns that he decided to go to disney and raid the power ranger warehouse and take a black power ranger costumn remove all traces of the zords from it and then repaint it solid black and claim ok this will be tim allens new super suit!!!

the good there are several funny jokes here and there (flying saucer going through a drive through and the reaction afterwords. poor tom wilson (biff)getting made fun of as always!!!
and the ever constant *code west* jokes which were always funny i think thats where the writer spent the most character development however was between dylan "houdini" west and tim allens "zoom"...

in all id have to rate it 3 out of 5
its just one of those films that can be cute if you want it to be. but if your looking for a film like spiderman or x-men this definatly is NOT it!!

I have to agree with pheonixmorgan. I actually thought this was pretty goddamn funny - galaxy quest for the current disney-age crowd. For the record, I was one of those that actually saw Galaxy Quest in theatres the day it opened. (It didn't gain any geek cred until five years later when some genius started using it as an example in screenwriting books and it finally started playing on cable.)

I started crying it was so funny. Maybe in a "so bad its funny" way, but I'm pretty sure it was intentional. I mean, no one's dumb enough to actually believe the world needs another vague child superhero movie - even movie execs. (I blame the truly dumb marketing execs for not marketing the film properly.)

There's some exposition by Chevy Chase that makes this really obvious - the whole "well, we're gonna use the kids to distract him, then throw a net. If only zoom had his powers we could create a vortex to reverse him from evil to good. Oh well" (yeah, paraphrase.)

I also love the way they simply ignore plot holes at the same time as delivering lots of exposition. That takes balls.

I'll admit that this stuff is subtle. Except for the bunny. That's goddamn comedy gold. I have no idea how they managed to make that adorable little girl so hilarious simply by the fact of her adorable-ness.

Honestly, I heard the audience laughing alot. More than 90% of this year's comedies so far. I can't wait until this movie shows up on cable and my opinion suddenly becomes really popular.

I went to see it too, and, yeah, I gotta admit, even though the theatre was dead, I kinda liked it. I'd say it's more of a renter than anything though.

Well, sorry, but you're *beep* gay if you liked this...
