I thought it was super cute.
It was hilarious too.
The beginning was a little rough, so many people might have dropped out there.
But overall I loved this movie..it's adorable with Ryan Newman. And the cast is kind of .. well friendly looking. Leonardo DiCaprio lovers, I apologize, but sometimes I think that he comes out a little rough and kind of bad acting.

Well, sometimes people pick films that they think are bad, like this one for example. MANY people vote this a 1 without even watching it! It happened to Phat Girlz, Date Movie, Epic movie, Little Man, Stomp the Yard, and so on and sadly, this film also got picked. I find IMDb rating VERY unfair because you can vote even if you haven't seen it! I'm so mad!
shareI agree that people vote without seeing a film. They go strictly by critics alot of times. Also, most critics look way too much into films when they critique them. And, Zoom isn't one that should be looked into too much. That's why I think critics weren't satisfied, therefore, leading those who only go by critics word of mouth to give Zoom a 1. I, however, think for myself and really enjoyed Zoom. I wasn't expecting anything more than a light-hearted kids/tween superhero film. And, i'm a big time horror/action film buff, and, still loved Zoom. It had a decent, yet, simple plot, great adult and child actors, a fun, upbeat soundtrack, and, for a small budget, not too shabby special effects. The only part that I didn't really care for in Zoom was the whole survival course secene or whatever it was called where the team kept doing stuff to Chevy Chase in the fake wilderness. That part just tried to be funny, but, fell flat. Then again, I can kinda see my little cousin laughing at that part, which is a good example of how this IS A KIDS MOVIE more than anything else. And, yeah, Kate Mara was pretty hot.

What, someone who apparently thinks a lot like I do concerning critics? Now that seems a little scary to me. Though believe me, I am glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks folks tend to be sheep who follow the critics too often rather than forming their own opinion.
For me, Zoom is a cute movie that offers enough entertainment value to keep your attention for the duration. It's not a movie I'd want to see at least once a day for a month, but it is something that's worth watching again. That's not to say when there's absolutely nothing else to watch and one is desperate. But rather something that one would pick just to kick back and relax with.
Slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww at first but a little better farther along in the movie. I love Tim Allen in any movie, no matter how much it sucks (Joe Somebody)
shareI thought it was really cute. A great family film. This type of film really needs a second movie. They spent so much time introducing the characters, that it would be great to see a film where most of the film is fighting the "bad guys".

I bought this movie especially for my kids and they gave it the thumbs up. I personally didn't watch it but i heard the laughs and the reply was very positive. That's all that really matters in my opinion, I read the comments before-hand and thought i'd let my kids do the judging, They loved it...all 7 of them, the 8th child has yet to grow teeth...Cheers all.

I loved this movie! What's wrong with a nice little sci-fi superhero adventure kids movie? Anyone who likes superhero movies should like this. Just leave your critical thinking at the door and enjoy this for what it is, just pure entertainment.
And like a couple of people have already said on this thread, Kate Mara is hot!
I think I like it even a bit more then some of you do. The reason I say this is because some of you say it's a cute kids movie (I'll admit it's demographic seems to be that).
I kind of liked the fact that it didn't really play down to kids. In other words, I don't have kids, and I'm an adult (37 as of this posting), and I enjoyed the fact that it didn't seem overly dumb in it's humor.
Like someone posted above the scene in the simulator room where the kids are doing stuff to Chevy Chase's character was a little flat, but then a lot of movies tend to do comedy that isn't really funny.
I don't know why anyone would compare it with the current super hero movies (I guess as of 2006 when it was out) -- except for the fact that they're supposed to be kid "superheros" -- it's not trying to be a serious drama involving people with extra powers, it's trying to be something fun that people would like to spend an afternoon with.
I also think this was better than, say, The Shaggy Dog (the new one with Tim Allen) -- that one was pretty terrible to me. (I also enjoyed the original 60's Shaggy Dog, and the Shaggy D.A.)
Anyhoo people are weird. It's like not liking Armageddon (the movie with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck) for being unrealistic -- like almost anything in that movie was realistic, but it was really entertaining.
Kate Mara being hot goes without saying -- and before anyone scolds me for being 37 -- she was 23 at the time of this movie ;-)
I like the film too.I feel this is a very underrated family film:Its charming,fun,and really entertaining,.
