With the exception of Requiem for a Dream I find every movie she is in unbearable to watch. Which is kind of funny to say cuz requiem is pretty gross. But anyways, dark water, house of sand and fog, hulk, higher learning, her movies always suck. Anyone else agree that she sucks?

I thought this film was excellent, but she did make some poor choices in-between Labyrinth and her more recent successes.

I definitely had a crush on her in Labyrinth and The Rocketeer when I was a kid. I haven't seen House of Sand and Fog or Requiem for a Dream (sounds a bit too disturbing for me.. I love horror films as long as they're not about drugs), and Hulk was nowhere near as bad as many claimed it was. it was certainly no worse than the remake. With that said, she's definitely been in a number of *beep* films, but she's a good actress. She doesn't suck - most of her films do.
Very funny actually. I find her somewhat forgettable, but not bad and the movies she appears in aren't always bad. Requiem for a Dream is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, though. It was just so tedious and boring.
shareI tend to agree with the notion that she's a great actress that stars in generally okay movies, albeit she has several that are very good. Let's not forget that she did win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
The average rating for movies she's in on IMDB is right around 7.0 (a little bit less), so to say her movies are "the worst" is a bit of an overstatement. Furthermore, she only stars in two movies that are rated below 5.0, neither of which are on the IMDB Bottom 100. Also, she's been in three movies that are on the IMDB top 250:
-Requiem for a Dream (#62, 8.5 average rating)
-Once Upon a Time in America (#89, 8.4 average rating)
-Blood Diamond (#246, 8.0 average rating)
Also, Little Children and A Beautiful mind have an average rating of 7.9, while Dark City and House of Sand and Fog have an average rating of 7.8, very respectable ratings.
But it's all opinion. We all have actors, movies, directors, actresses, etc. that we feel are overrated.
