Lowest Point in De Niro's Career
...or will it be topped by an even worse movie?

If he did something like this in the seventies, eighties and even the nineties, I'm sure he would've been great. He just doesn't put in as much effort as he used to now that he's got older which is fair enough, he's still great to watch if you ask me.

De Niro's acting isn't the problem. This is just a horrid screenplay.
shareDefinitely Not the lowest point have you not seen Godsend, if not forget i mentioned it, that is definitely his worse movie if not the worst movie i've ever seen
sharelol, it wasn't too good. Average at best. It took a LONG time to get going.
Just a paycheck for Bobbie D.
It's probably a toss up between this and Godsend, both are pretty dire. Perhaps he should avoid 'horror'.
The best thing about this film was Dakota Fanning... and the end, when it finally came.
Never again.
so bad it was even embarassing to watch ...
shareRighteous Kill.
shareI really liked this movie until the twist, which I thought was unoriginal and was strewn with plotholes.
I wouldn't say it is the lowest point of De Niro's career. His performance as a concerned father was very convincing, and Dakota Fanning was excellent as well. The acting from the whole cast was of a high standard I thought. It was the story that I had a problem with.
I have seen lots of films where the twist is that the main protagonist turns out to be killer etc.
Nothing wrong with De Niro he just shouldn't have accepted the role, the story was bad and full of Hollywood cliches for this genre. Great actors should stick with great roles, what was he thinking?
Wow I am surprised. I loved the twist.
Righteous Kill.This. ^
Ha ha loved the name of this post!
Having said that I always find this sort of film fairly watchable, but whether Bobby has had worse...hmmm I've not seen Godsend yet....
Come. It is time to keep your appointment with the Wicker Man...share
