Am I the only one who thinks this is a very good film?
I don't get the hatred for this film. I thought is was very well written, and was very entertained by the story.

I don't get the hatred either. I think this is a solid 8/10, though with Woody Allen's consistent pattern of excellence, I'd put it in his second tier of movies.
shareOh no, I also cannot hate this movie (How can I hate any of the Aleen movies? ever!) but than I just feel that this is a movie with a 'LIMP' LOL!
shareI liked it as well !
shareStrangely, this is one of my favorite movies. I happen to love the group of actors Allen picked for this one. The scene between Ellis and Melinda at the dinner party and the scene at the bistro when Laurel joins them both are two of my favorites. The cinematography and lighting just add to how great those scenes are. Overall it's quality Woody Allen material if you're into his films. I also really like a little movie he made called 'September'. It all takes place in a country house over a couple of days. Simple, well acted and moving. That's why I like Woody's stuff.
shareNot only did I think it was good, I used it to teach my class about the juxtaposition between comedy and tragedy and made them articulate which story was more effective and why. It's a VERY underrated film.
shareI enjoyed it too.
Some of the lines said by the characters are a bit too contrived, but after a while the viewer gets used to the character's dialogue-style.
I actually saw this movie twice.
Better the 2nd time
