Anyone else think this movie derails in the second act?

First half is a fascinating, tense character study...

After the deed is done though, it turns into a melodramatic cover up movie.. found myself a little bored in the second half :/

He dies like 20 minutes before the end.

But I agree completely. The cover up was stupid and the ending was too. It was really well done prior to George dying too.

Posted on a newer topic the very same. Definitely a missed opportunity.

Yeah totally agree ! .... lost its way after the incident .... scriptwriters let the film down from that point on to the end :(

I heavily disagree. I feel like the aftermath is *supposed* to be deflating, they were all more or less having a good time at that point before things went off the rails. Anyone would feel devestated in that moment and we the viewer are also made to feel devestated as all the air gets sucked out of the room and the consequences of their actions set in.

Brilliant ending, I wouldn't have it any other way.
