Dr. Magnusson (from HL2: Episode 2) - Jon Hamm (with some makeup and whatnot to make him look older)

G-Man - Mark Strong

Ron Perlman (with a Russian accent) - Crazy guy in Ravenholm

Dr. Breen - Michael Douglas (not so much for appearance similarities but I think he can fit the character really well)

Dr. Kleiner - David McCallum

Dr. Judith Mossman - Julianne Moore

Dr. Eli Vance - Morgan Freeman (duh)

Alyx Vance - Rosario Dawson

and finally...

Gordon Freeman - Timothy Olyphant (with a goatee and glasses, obviously)

Exactly, these are just some fanboys jumping on the Breaking Bad bandwagon. There are many better fits than him for Gordon.

I'm just saying he looks a lot like him, and with the makeup/digital retouches Hollywood uses they could easily make Bryan Cranston look like 25, or any older actor for that matter.
And it's not like he can't act.

But yes, Bryan Cranston would be a bad choice. Almost as bad as a Half Life movie. You don't need an actor that can act, you just need to find a Gordon look-alike and that's it. There's no reason to have a person capable of acting since Gordon is supposed to be silent, and if he were to talk in the movie, HL fans would go *beep* over it.
