I have to take some blame here, as I never even saw a preview for this before I saw it in theaters, but I seriously wanted a refund. This was a ridiculously terrible movie. I was literally gagging during the dog scene, and almost left to throw up. I just really didn't understand the point of the movie, or the necessity of such vulgar scenes.

I gave the movie a 2/10. The only reason I did that was because it was still leagues better than Meet The Spartans (one of my only two 1/10's). Even Natural Born Killers and Vacancy got 3's, and they were just BAD! So yea, this is one of the worst that I've seen.

Not a great film but by no means anywhere near the worst ever.And anyone who says it is disgusting needs a wake up call,films have been grossing people out for years,its just that some push the boundaries more than others.
Human centipede is my idea of disgusting grossness,i couldnt watch to the end,but this doesnt get close to that.
If you havent seen films called the skeleton crew or pin then give them a go,then youll realise how stupid the original post was.
It's certainly a poor movie, but I wouldn't say it was as bad as 'The Shawshank Redemption', for example.

Just saw it on TV. I've seen worse, and I've got to say some of the seems were reeeeally messed up (force feeding her to eat a previous victim's eyes/ears and brains), and Cuthbert did well, acting wise. (How do you make a scene where your head is bound to an operating board, hands tied, and a funnel stuffed down your throat seem reeeeal? What's your motivation?
It sucked. But's it's meant to. It's a horror movie.

It's a horror/thriller movie that's actually scary. Movies that fall under my list of "worst I've ever seen" include comedies that aren't funny (virtually everything Eddie Murphy has headlined in the past 10 years), sheer vanity-fests (Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland), and horror movies that are neither scary nor bad enough to fall into the "so bad it's fascinating" category (Anatomy, The Human Centipede).
Captivity is a good little horror movie but definitely not for everybody.
Maybe not the absolute worst, but certainly a very bad movie.

If I had a dollar for every thread on IMDB entitled "worst movie ever" I'd be very wealthy.
Tell you what: when the last film ever has been made, we can pour through the entire historical catalog of movies and then choose the "worst movie ever." I'm guessing this won't even make the final cut.
Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.
