Anywhere you wish they could've taken the trilogy?

Or any of the characters.

Me I wish it had a better trajectory thought out, it was a trilogy down played to two films but became three films again.

I really wished they had a better romantic interest for Bruce Wayne/Batman than Rachel Dawes for Begins and TDK, she was like a two scene character who was made into the love interest/female lead for two films, all her scenes with Bruce were painfully to watch, her constant belittling of Bruce and choosing Dent over him made her come off as cold and dislikable. Don't understand why they thought audiences should care about a one sided love in a film like this? in order for us to care about or be interested in a love interest they have be into the hero not despise them.

I will admit in Batman Begins she wasn't really the greatest character, but they might be due to Katie Holmes playing her. Maggie Gyllenhaal was much better and her character improved, both in character and acting. In the end, she didn't stay with him because of his darkness inside him. I don't think she was being cold, she knew it wouldn't work properly with Bruce with his agenda.

Never sure why she was there, this feels true of many of the characters of the trilogy they could've been half the number but the filmmakers obviously wanted to include as many characters as they could.

Can you really blame Rachel for her attitude towards Bruce? First he was going to murder someone, and no matter how justified it would have been, he'd have gone to prison for the rest of his life and ruin his whole life and legacy. And after she thinks he's dead, he comes back and she sees him swimming in hotel pools with models.

I'd have done more with Craine/Scarecrow. I'd have given a bigger role in the TDKR, especially because Ledger died. Craine could have become the kind of series long villain. His quick cameos in TDKR weren't enough.

Even through justified her attitude made her come off as unsympathetic, you feel sympathy for Bruce about his parents' murder and probably would've done the same thing. It was never quite sure why Rachel was even in it which feels true of many of the characters, they could've been half the number.

I always thought her inclusion made perfect sense. Her character was one of the biggest driving forces for Bruce Wayne. The shame she felt toward him when he was going to murder Joe Chill helped shape his "no kill" rule. She was also his (somewhat unrequited) love interest and much of what he was working toward was setting Gotham on the right path so he could quit being Batman and live an ideal life with her. Finally when she died it destroyed him and made him feel like a failure. The character of Rachel provided key moments in the development of this portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman and imo it worked really well.

Thing is you got to have characters that the audiences cares about, the whole unrequited love aspect alienated Rachel from audiences. There are many ways to develop Bruce Wayne into Batman.

I didn't realize the audience at large didn't care for her. I can only speak for myself but I always liked her and appreciated her struggle of falling in love with another man while fearing what that would do to Bruce.

Could've done more with Catwoman in TDKR and probably should've made her the female lead for the entire trilogy.

Catwoman wouldn't have fit in Begins or The Dark Knight. The trilogy didn't need a female lead. It's a Batman trilogy.
