Some people must be blind :
This is Milla Jovovich, she deserve interest. She was, maybe she still is, incredible, unique. She is beautiful, unbelievable ! Then the plot isn't so dull, there is a strong relationship between her and the young boy, which unfolds in the movie. And there is a nice score sometimes if you pay attention, and cool fighting, and strong symbolism if you catch it (tear drops). This isn't her worst movie at all.
incredible, unique. beautiful. OK, I agree but I can't rate a movie high just because the lead woman is attractive. This is movie is very bad, I can't remember any worse movie than this. Gave it 1/10. May be deserve 2, not more.

It seems like we don't necessary need a script in that case, i can think about early movies with Sophia Loren for example, La fortuna di essere donna (1956)
Also this is the theory of Romer, being fascinated by his actresses, his movie seems improvised most of the time... that tells the plot isn't the whole thing.
