Sean Penn couldn't have been more right
I read somewhere in Wikipedia in Nicola's Cage page that he got flak over going in on high budgeted movies and getting $20 million paydays.
He said Nicolas wasn't an actor anymore, he was more like a performer. I think he couldn't have been more right. That's not necessarily a bad thing.
For years I had the debate with people that action movies were not acting. You can't possibly act in an action movie. But I didn't have that final word to finish the argument. ''PERFORMER'' that's what it was. In a action movie you perform, you give a performance (Physical one most of the time).
I think you can't blame a person that much for being a sellout where the question is would you ? If you love a good lifestyle too much you can't. That's what Nicolas did. He said I'm tired of making great films and people not appreciating it, so I'm gonna make big blockbuster film which you dumb people would love and I will have finally some fun around here.
