Why do black people hate this movie so much?

I swear I've never heard a single black person say this is a good quality movie. Why is this?

And I'm not being racist ..my favourite actor is Sidney Poitier

1 mark deducted for not being Curse of Fenric. Insert 'The' into previous if you are Ant-Mac

Maybe they're racists?

Asians too! Don't get me wrong. I like Jackie Chan.

reply

The same reason EVERYONE hates this movie: because it sucks.

reply

This was just a sorry movie. The acting was terrible. It was like all of the actors were actually just reading from the script, and were not very good readers. I got through 25 minutes of this movie, and could not take anymore.

reply

Loser.

reply

I'm black. I loved this movie! It's not So Bad, It's Good, it's So Bad, It's Amazing.

reply

(Beaubelle gently tugging OP's sleeve) It's not just black people--oh, hai, Mark!

reply

Well, Tommy Wiseau has a dressed the fact that Mark was originally going to be played by a black actor. I think the fact that that actor left the project was likely such an enormous story in entertainment news at the time probably has something to do with it. It was such a coveted role, and every actor in Hollywood wanted it, so when a black actor was replaced with mega star Greg Sestero, people took offense.

It just didn't seem fair to people that Tommy Wiseau nearly opted for diversity, but instead showed himself to be part of the typical Hollywood elite that he is.

reply

Hahaha!

I believe they were not happy with the first actor and Sestero (line producer) eventually just took the role. I don't believe the first guy was black.

reply

Actually he was. Wiseau said so, and there's an early rehearsal tape somewhere on youtube with the guy.

Also, everything else I said is totally true.

reply

You funny.

reply

Well, it's not remotely a good quality movie... but it is hilarious and as entertaining as it gets.
