911 Operator voice over ruined the last 15 minutes of the movie.
I was so sick of hearing........ Andre Andre Andre Andre over and over and then
rapid fire, rapid fire rapid fire Andre Andre rapid fire..............

ohhhh you so damn right!!
I just watched this movie, for me EVERYTHING was ruined with this stupid POINTLESS and annoying telephone talk and beeping! Why they put it there? It would be so much more scarier and realistic if we heard only what's going on there. This was such a mess, i sit through all this talk and talk to see the ending, and what the hell was that.
btw, i came here to creat the same topic :)
Andre can you pick up??

i watched ending second time, at first i didnt even noticed that, we could hear guys talking only because andre had cell phone in his hands.. Maybe that was logical for operator to keep on trying, but still it was very annoying :)
sharelol! It irritated me too!

Agreed, but the beeping every 3.4 seconds was a thousand times more annoying.
I can kill you with my brain.
Nobody caught this? IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE HAD AUDIO. The security cameras were VIDEO only, so to be able to hear anything we needed a phone on, most logically the police would be on the other line (probably the first number most people would call)...

Yeah... we understood that. It was just irritating to have to listen to, and detracted from the movie. I would have been, shall we say, more emotionally jarred from the scene if it had been completely silent.
Ev'lyone's a ritter bit lacist.
TheBeardedWonder is right, here. The 911 call was the only source of audio, and since it's presented in the "documentary" style, I think it's effective. The dispatcher repeats Andre's name because she's trying to talk him down and get him to surrender.
And if you want it silent, you're TV remote does have a mute button, or at least some way of controlling the volume...
I also didn't get the beeping. I've never heard beeping on 911 calls before.
I understand having the operator on the line. But I could've dealt without the friggin beeping every 2 seconds!

I am with you guys.
I could have done with NO audio for the last part.
There are many movies other than this that could have been cured by that.
And the only viewpoint we get is that small area.
I don't care how it was in reality, I watched it expecting more in the end.

completely agree. too bad, everyone else was a great actor.
shareThat is a 911 operators job to stay on the line until there is a disconnect. Wow, you people are dumb. How the hell did it make it less realistic? It added a haunting new level of worrying realism to an already terrifying situation. If I would change anything, it would've just been to take out that beep ever 4 seconds.
shareyou may be the dumb one. you're not picking up on the complaints. the actor was lousy. 911 operators are supposed to be non-emotional, but she was just silly.
shareFrom what i understand, the beeps indicate that a phone call is being recorded.
