suitable for a 10-year-old?
Okay, I know it's rated 15 on the box but my son LOVES Jack Black and I really want to cheer him up 'cos he's a bit down at the moment. Can anyone tell me if there's anything really unsuitable for a ten-year-old?

shareNot for a 10-year-old, his parents, or his grandparents.
shareThere are other movies with jack black, doesnt have to watch this one does he?
maybe "kung fu panda" would be better suited.
I watched this with my 13 year old son after watching it with my hubby. He laughed himself silly. After looking up tenatious d clips on u tube my 4 year old daughter is now a huge fan. She loves tribute and the sasquach scene. I know that she has seen the end scene because she described it to me and i was shocked, but it did her no harm. My children are brought up to understand that some people take drugs and swear but we don't all have to do it the same as they can choose what religion they would wish to follow.
shareYOU are what I call an awesome parent! Finally some sense-making behind all this uptight nonsense!
Anyway, to answer the OP, let him see it. It's a hilarious movie and it won't scar him. Who cares if it has a lot of swearing?
i took my 2 year old he thought it was hilarious!
said it brought to mind the complacency that the current hollywood system represents, i told him i agreed but that he still couldn't have any ice cream.. he looked at me scornfully but then we both laughed! i think it's great that he already comprehends irony
but then again, i'm not so sure, lol - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PSVP9LuRhU
