Finally Hopefully this will be the end of this show.
This was unexpected, they've had a great run, they should end it this year but haven't heard that it will end, Mark Harmon and David McCallum will be the only originals if they keep going. Seems like nearly every drama this year has lost people, NCIS, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, Hawaii Five O, Designated Survivor, Chicago PD.
shareI am not sure how much longer they can really go. Mark Harmon is about all that holds me to the show. None of the people they have brought in have elevated the show, Bishop is barely tolerable, Quinn was tough to watch, Torres is ok but not great. McGee was so dependent on his interactions with DiNozzo that you wonder why he is even there still. Abby is probably the most popular character left after Mark Harmon and she is leaving. Both Harmon and McCallum look ready to retire, particularly McCallum who is getting far to old to be believable in his role. I really believe this will be the last season.
shareYou pretty much nailed it. I wanted to like Bishop a lot, but she seems like she's just There, not very interesting, then they brought in other people, and they weren't very interesting either. Ziva and DiNozzo had chemistry, sizzle.
These past few seasons have been mostly a yawn.
WHat will I do without my dear Abby? Like all of the rest here, I know Pauly Perette's leaivng, but she brings a Zooey Deschanel like look.quirkiness (despite being much older, closer to by age by a decade thaN zooey) What'll I do..
shareI like Perette as well. Shows need a wild card, a character that's fresh and breaks the normalcy of the whole endeavor.
Without PP, NCIS is just another procedural, cops trying to catch perps. Yes, the other characters had interesting back stories, and the show could stand w/o Pauley, but she brought such a different energy and angle to this arch-conservative atmosphere. And she was a sweetheart ! Quirky and odd, but disciplined and true to her calling. A wonderful example of someone who doesn't want to conform, but wants to prove non-conformists fit in too.
when miss looney toon leaves, maybe I'll start watching the show again

421. ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER 05/27 **#10**
This alliterate actress has been making noise to her Twitter fans. She says that an actress who was previously a co-star and left the show before our alliterate actress (and got higher ratings) earned her job via the casting couch. Pauley Perrette/Cote de Pablo ("NCIS")
422. ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER 05/27 **#11**
Speaking of the show mentioned in #10, the alliterate actress has got some support in her campaign, from this former A- list mostly movie actress turned A- list mostly television actress at the time she had a run in with her co-star. He wanted her replaced with someone he "could get along with more" and when the big boss on the show took her side over his, he went to the network and threatened to walk out. So, what did the network do? Killed off the actress and fired the big boss on the show. Since that point in time, the star of the show has done what he wanted and knows that no one will stop him because the network made their decision and won't do anything about anything he does.
Show: "NCIS"
A- list actress: Lauren Holly
Co-star: Mark Harmon
Big boss: Donald P. Bellisario
Without her, for me, the show can only get better. I've detested her drippy character from day one.
shareYou'd be in the minority on that opinion.. personally I stopped watching before Weatherly left.. it was getting too cliché..
shareThat is what I thought as well. I thought that anything would bebetter than Abby.
Well look what they gave us. I never thought that anyone coiuld be worse than Abby but I was wrong.
Her replacement is the worst thing that has ever happened to any television show ever.
I wondered why she left and it turns out she said "The time was right." After 15 years, well, it seems she thought about it a lot.
