I I was watching this movie and it hit me if this movie was made in the 1980s bill Murray would definatly play the role of lafluer so I started thinking if this movie was made in the 80s who else would be in this movie I was thinking dan akroid could play one of the annoucers real well and maybe Martin short as patchs I was wonderig if you guys had your opinon on a 1980s cast for this movie.....I couldn't think of any 1980s white goodmans unfortnuly

If this were made in the 80's you'd have to find another Dwight. Eddie wasn't doing supporting roles in the 80's. The 90's either, for that matter.

But I think Don Rickles as Patches would be funnier than Rodney Dangerfield, maybe Sam Kinneson as the Young Patches

What if the movie was made in the '70s?

I can't imagine this kind of film being made before about 1977, so picking that as a rough year
